Job Shadows

IGNITE's Job Shadow program allows women interested in a particular technology-related position to spend the day with a mentor learning more about their job. The shadow follows their mentor around the office, doing whatever the mentor would do on a typical day. It is a chance for the girls to catch a glimpse of the job that they might might be considering and have their questions answered about it.

If you want to know what it's like to work in a certain industry, get to know some of the IGNITE members! Email them to see if you could job shadow them. Once a connection has been made, you will work out a mutually agreeable (on non-school days) time to meet.

High School Presentations

Our members talk to students about their background, their passion for technology, and how they end up with the careers they love. Don't forget, you can always go to the members section to learn more.
